Miu Term is a telnet-based Bulletin Board System (BBS) client specifically designed for the iPhone platform. It offers comprehensive support for both simplified and traditional Chinese characters, along with compatibility for various escape codes.

The application is equipped with several features tailored to enhance the user experience on touch screens:

 <li>The ability to recognize over ten customizable gestures, allowing users a more intuitive and efficient navigation throughout the BBS site.</li>
 <li>Direct input of ASCII characters via an automatic text field that appears when users utilize alternative input methods such as Chinese Pinyin, Stroke, or Zhuyin, disappearing seamlessly after input.</li>
 <li>A gesture rectangle specifically designed for zoom-in mode display to facilitate easier interactions.</li>
 <li>A customizable shortcut bar is available, enabling quick command inputs without the need to toggle the keyboard.</li>
 <li>Automatic cursor tracking further enhances usability by ensuring that the view scrolls to keep the user's desired content in sight.</li>
 <li>Since version 1.2.0, the inclusion of full-text article reading capabilities significantly improves the reading experience, particularly in zoom-in mode.</li>
</ul>

For iPad users, it is worth noting that an HD version (Miu Term HD) is offered separately to take full advantage of the larger screen.

Miu Term is recognized for its robust features such as customizable touch gestures, shortcut keys, and a gesture rectangle designed specifically for zoom-in mode interactions. The app's friendly interface for Chinese and English text input further enhances its accessibility, as input fields display and disappear as needed. Moreover, users can opt for a transparent keyboard that does not obstruct the viewing area while still allowing for easy text entry.

The full reading mode has been noted to substantially enhance the reading experience in zoom-in mode. Additionally, Miu Term supports simultaneous logins across multiple sites, catering to diverse user needs.

* iPad users should use Miu Term HD as Miu Term only supports @2x mode on iPads.
